Privacy Policy

WebsiteSale is the controller for personal data processed on websitesale.com. Contact: privacy@websitesale.com. For a copy of your data or deletion, use the data request form.

• Account data — name, email, password hash, role (buyer, seller, admin), currency, bio.
• Listing and transaction data — inventory, offers, escrow, reviews, chat, watchlists.
• Verification documents you upload for identity or proof of business.
• Technical data — IP, device, cookie identifiers, and approximate location from IP.
• Support and report messages, including data-rights requests.

We process data to run the marketplace (contract), keep escrow and accounts secure (legitimate interests and legal obligation), send optional alerts you request (consent), and improve search (legitimate interests). You can refuse analytics and marketing cookies in the cookie popup.

We share data with payment and escrow processors, cloud hosting, email delivery, and — if required — law enforcement. Sellers see buyer names and chat needed to complete a transfer. We do not sell personal data.

Account and transaction records are kept for as long as the account is open and for up to seven years after for tax, dispute, and anti-fraud purposes. Chat attached to an escrow is retained with that escrow. Cookie identifiers follow the periods in the Cookie Policy.

Servers may be in the UK, EU, or US. Where we transfer outside the UK/EEA we use standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Depending on where you live you may access, correct, delete, export, or object to processing, and withdraw cookie consent. See Data protection. You may complain to the ICO (UK) or your local supervisory authority.

The service is not for anyone under 18. We delete accounts we learn belong to children.
